EMDR Treatment
I am an Approved EMDR Consultant and Clinician. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) is an approach that helps the brain process traumatic memories or events. Sometimes our past intrudes on our present-day relationships, thoughts or choices. EMDR helps to reduce the emotional impact and supports healing. EMDR sessions consist of learning more about you and your history, teaching skills to feel grounded and safe, and using bilateral stimulation to process distressing events and experiences. Find out more about EMDR here.
Law Enforcement, First Responders and 911 Professionals
It's been found that First Responders will witness, on average, 400 - 600 traumatic events across the span of their career. Those working in Emergency Services, including Law Enforcement and Firefighters have a higher than average rate of symptoms related to PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Many first responders struggle silently with hypervigilance, emotional exhaustion, sleep difficulties, relationship strain, and cumulative trauma exposure. As a Certified First Responder Clinician, I offer individual trauma informed virtual treatment that addresses these issues through a supportive, confidential space. If you're unsure where to start or what to ask please refer to the Seeking Personal Help section of the 911 Training Institute.

Somatic Healing Practices
Certified in advanced Somatic Practices, I am able to incorporate somatic movement, breathwork, and mindfulness in sessions which allows me to focus on the whole person and use different methods for grounding which keep my clients in the present moment. Building capacity for safety and internal awareness is foundational for good therapy. These practices teach how emotions and patterns can be held in the body and that we can learn to release anything that no longer fits. Enjoy this short practice from My Vinyasa Practice.
